This fueled our commitment to develop a comprehensive program for service providers, staff members of service centers, and customers alike so they can not only adapt to but, also anticipate the challenges posed by emerging technologies.
That's why we created Automotive Safety Technology, a program designed to equip customers and service providers with knowledge about safety systems such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
Our goal at Automotive Safety Technology is to bridge the gap between ADAS safety technology and parental guidance, creating a generation of drivers who are not only proficient behind the wheel but also equipped to harness the benefits of this cutting-edge safety technology.
Uncle Jim's Car Corner
Jim, also known as Uncle Jim, boasts 40 years of expertise in the automotive industry. His journey began in a family business when an accident left his father unable to continue as a body technician. Working alongside his father, Jim learned invaluable lessons in customer service. He later moved on to operate the largest privately owned collision center in the U.S. for the top luxury brand worldwide. As the General Manager, he played a pivotal role in developing the first OEM certification program for this brand.
Through this experience, Jim gained profound insights into vehicle design and engineering, understanding how and why technologies were implemented to ensure driver and road user safety. Yet, he identified a significant gap in consumer knowledge, often resulting in misinformation, unexpected repair costs, and unsatisfactory experiences.
Motivated by a passion for educating consumers and enhancing their automotive service experiences, Jim created Uncle Jim's Car Corner. This platform serves as a hub where consumers can find answers to questions about required maintenance and its importance, connect with a network of qualified service providers, learn the right questions to ask when servicing or purchasing a car, and understand how Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) work. Notably, it also offers essential advice for parents of 16-year-old drivers on reducing motor vehicle accidents, the leading cause of death in this age group.
